Baptism Service
This month we're busy preparing for our baptism service. This will be the first baptism service that we've held at East End Chapel and the first ever baptisms by full immersion in Shipdham. Baptism is an exciting service in the life of a believer—it marks their decision to follow Jesus and demonstrates a turning away from the old sinful life to a new life as a child of God. A milestone in their Christian lives. It's a joyful service of celebration for the candidates; their families and friends and the church as a whole. For the candidates it's a chance to make their faith public—to nail their colours to the mast—to show the world what they believe. It's also an act of obedience as we are commanded in the bible to 'repent and be baptised' (Acts 2:38). If you've never seen a baptism by full immersion before, or would like to know more about baptism or about following Jesus then why not come along to the service at 2:30pm on 27 September —everyone is most welcome.
